Life Lesson 2

So many people are in a hurry to get where they want to go or about making money that they forget to enjoy their journey through this thing called life. We only get this one life here on earth as who we are right now. We may not have chosen to be the person we are but that is how we were made. However, it doesn't mean that we can't change who we are or be who we want to be. Just because you were born into a bad environment doesn't mean you can't be successful or happy. Just because you are born into a rich environment doesn't mean you can't be humble and kind. Everyone chooses their own destination in a sense. Yes, our overall destination is often set but that doesn't mean we can't go and spread love and joy on our journey there. We are who we make ourselves to be. We are in control of our own actions. Be kind, spread love and enjoy every minute you spend in this amazing world.

We are what makes us happy, our choices, our outlook and even the way we absorb and process the energy around us. Everything is made up of energy and we are a filter for that energy. The world is full of so much hate and violence because people are always more concerned about what they can get from others that they forget that we are all human. We all have beating hearts, souls and even spirits within us. Life is not about what you can get, it's about what you can give and how you give. A smile, a friendly greeting to the stranger you pass on the street, even just a simple hello can make a person who is having a bad day to smile. We never know what people are going through in their lives, just as they don't know what is going on it ours. Why not just be kind and say something nice to someone, even if it is just a simple "Hope you have a nice day." That statement could make all the difference to someone who may be at their breaking point at that very moment. Bring back humanity and break the cycle of hate and violence.

This is exactly how I live my life and the exuberance and joy I try and deliver to my patrons as a bar attendant. I just want them to leave our establishment happier than when they entered.
